Setting up mandatory threats and treatments

This article will explain how to set up a mandatory treatment and a mandatory threat as an admin user

Updated over 6 months ago

As an administrator on the Human Risks platform, you can establish both mandatory treatments and mandatory threats. The key difference between a mandatory option and a regular one is that you won't be able to remove the mandatory treatment/threat from the suggestions list within the Risk Assessment.

How to set up a mandatory treatment template:

  1. Go to your platform.

  2. Click into the Organization module.

  3. Scroll down to Treatment templates.

  4. Click on Create+ button.

Begin by defining your treatment details, such as the title, description, and the criteria for recommending the treatment. You can find additional guidance on configuring treatment templates in this article: Setting up Treatment Templates.

To make a treatment mandatory, simply check the checkbox as shown in the image below.

Additionally, you can modify an existing treatment to make it mandatory by clicking the 'Edit' button within the treatment templates. Mandatory treatments will be visually distinguished by an exclamation mark symbol, as shown in the image below.

Additional information on how to add a mandatory treatment to an existing Risk Assessment can be found on this article: Add Treatments to a Risk Assessment

How to set up a mandatory threats template:

Similar to setting a treatment as mandatory, you can also configure a threat as mandatory on the Organization page.

  1. Go to your platform.

  2. Click into the Organization module.

  3. Scroll down to Threat templates.

  4. Click on Create+.

Start by defining the details of the threat, such as the assets, site categories, and likelihood. Additional guidance on how to configure a threat can be found in this article: Setting up Threat Templates.

To make a threat mandatory, simply check the checkbox as shown in the image below.

After completion, mandatory threats will be marked with an exclamation mark symbol next to the edit button for easy recognition. Furthermore, you can change a regular threat into a mandatory one by clicking on the "Edit" button and selecting the "Mandatory" checkbox.

Additional information on how to add a mandatory threat to an existing Risk Assessment can be found on this article: Add Threats to a Risk Assessment.
