Filter on Incident Reports

In this article, we will explain how the filtering option on the Incident Reports module works.

Updated over 6 months ago

It is possible on the Incident reports module to filter on multiple criteria in order to narrow your search and/or research previous incidents to support your threat identification and assessment process.

The Filter option can be found on the horizontal list of options inside Incident Reports. After clicking it, a new window will open with different filtering options.

The next part might look a bit different depending on if you have access to data from external intelligence providers.

You will have access to:

  • Internal incident reports - generated by your own organization from your division(s),

  • External incident reports - delivered by an external source e.g. a travel security alerts provider.

Please note there is a tab for each source.

The filter window is divided in two sections:

Left side filters

On the left are all the tabs with filter options for both internal and external sources. Here, you can filter on data range, risk level, etc.

Internal

The first tab helps you narrow down your searches for Internal Incident Reports and Risk Assessments sources. You have the opportunity to filter the search based:

  • Start – End Date

  • Reported on

  • Created by

  • Countries

  • Incident Categories and Incident Types

  • Police Involvement (Yes/No)

Custom

On the Custom tab you have the option to filter all the custom forms created internally. After choosing a template you will get prompted with all the filter options available based on that template. Additionally, you can also edit the custom forms from the list view.

Riskline

This tab will allow you to filter all the external Riskline incidents. Similar to Internal tab, you can filter on:

  • Start – End Date

  • Reported on

  • Created by

  • Countries

  • Incident Categories

Additionally, a new filter option specific to this tab is the Risk Levels. Here, you can define the magnitude of the risks for the incidents that you want to be displayed. (ex: High and Extreme only)

Control Risks & Control Risks Maritime

These tabs gives you the opportunity two narrow down all the incidents reported by Control Risks.

Control Risks provide their own filtering categories that you can use to narrow down the search.

Right side filters

On the right side you will find all the sources that can be used. You can select an external, internal source or both, depending on your needs.

Internal Layers

  • Internal Incident Report – shows all internal incident reports created that you have access to. Incident reports are shown on the map.

  • Risk Assessment –shows all risk assessments you have access to on the platform.

  • Custom forms – shows internal custom created forms.

  • Activity logs - shows activities that have been reported.

External Layers

  • Riskline Incidents – Riskline is an external source which cover travel risks.

  • Control Risks & Control Risks Maritime – Control Risks is an external source which forecast the trends and events which could put people or opportunities at risk.

After selecting the sources, a list with all the reports will be displayed under the filter tab.
